About this steel
DSC® Carbon Damascus Steel: Cut-to-Size Billets
DSC® Carbon is BALBACHDAMAST®'s 160-layer carbon Damascus bar stock, cut to the length you need. DSC® stands for Damascus Steel SuperClean, a trademark registered with the German Patent and Trademark Office.
The SuperClean weld-bonding process keeps contaminants out of the welds. The layers stay bonded through forging and machining, and the steel moves very little in heat treatment.
Forged in Laubuseschbach, Germany, by BALBACHDAMAST®, which has made Damascus steel since 1991, in a production facility of more than 34,000 square feet. Stocked in Ashland, Oregon; orders placed before 2 pm Pacific ship the same business day.
